Handling
This is the story of the American Black Bear as he exists in the Rockies. From the time they are born, the young bears are constantly disciplined and taught by their mother. They are very playful and the mother must keep a constant watch on them. The highligt musical sequence is of bears scratching themselves in funny poses. Then we see the mating battles, and finally the mother abandons her young. The cubs are bewildered at first, but finally accept the situation and after one last fling in the snow, retire to a den for the winter.
